Hop Pairing/Selection

So in my recipes I have been pretty conservative with the different hops and their schedule, and I would like to expand and create better & more complex flavors.

So the question I pose is this. What hop combinations worked best for you and which didn't? Do you have any set rules for how you pair your hops? Is there a good resource for this mixing?

Huge fan of citra and simcoe together. Try not to blend too many hops because then I cant tell what flavors came from which combination.

There are so many hops out thee that's it's hard to have specific recommendations anymore! The "C" hops (usually referred to as Centennial/Cascade/Columbus/Chinook) all seem to pair pretty well together, though. A lot of my pale ales and IPAs use some combination of those hops.

Now do you choose fruity with fruity or one earthy & one fruity. Or to put another way do you pair similar flavors or spread around the flavor spectrum?
